Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Established a 3D Design and Production Laboratory at the European University of Lefke in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
With the project, which was developed by TİKA and previously applied in different countries and achieved successful results, classical production methods were brought together with new technologies, and students, researchers and academicians were provided with the R&D and R&D Laboratory, which was established in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Dentistry of the European University of Lefke in TRNC. will enable them to carry out their work.
In the established laboratory, there are various types of 3D printers and scanners, laser cutting, CNC router devices, desktop lathes, drill benches, computers, digital microscope, robotic training sets and various mechanical-electronic tools and equipment.
TIKA provided training to academics for 5 days
After the installation of the laboratory, all equipment of which was brought from Turkey, the academicians working at the university were trained by experts assigned by TIKA for 5 days.
In the laboratory established at the European University of Lefke, which is one of the two state foundation universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; 12 instructors from the Departments of Electrical Electronics, Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Dentistry, Information Systems and Pharmacy completed their training and were entitled to receive certificates. On the last day of the training, European University of Lefke Rector Prof. Dr. At the ceremony held with the participation of Mehmet Ali Yükselen, the certificates were delivered to the beneficiaries.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia Ali Murat Başceri visited the European University of Lefke 3D Design and Production Laboratory and was introduced by the lecturers who trained him. During the visit, Rector of the European University of Lefke Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, Vice Rectors and TIKA Nicosia Coordinator Havva Pınar Özcan Küçükçavuş were also present.
