“The Key to Effective Communication: Body Language” Seminar held at EUL
“The Key to Effective Communication; Body Language” seminar was organized by European University of Lefke (EUL) Television and Communication Sciences Faculty. The seminar which was realized in EUL Cinema Hall, had been participated by educator Murat Yılmaz as the speaker.
Our Hands Communicate
Yılmaz emphasizing that the body language is an effective key of communication, has also indicated that the body language shall be utilized widely in a range of both work life and private life. Yılmaz stressed that, even though if a person is not speaking, the movements of body, the location of feet and hands and also the way of staring; all convey a meaning. Yılmaz emphasized that in order to eliminate the possibility of misunderstanding, one should learn these to communicate in a healthier way.
Yılmaz, emphasizing the significant role of the hand gestures, underlined that hands have a high potential of describing what is attempted to be conveyed through words, only by considering the location of hands’ positions accordingly to the body. Also giving examples of some hand gestures, Yılmaz emphasized that if these to be used through awareness and analysis, can be an advantage in forming a communication.
Murat Yılmaz have also interacted with the participants of the seminar through various body language and other relevant activities, and applications received a certificate of appreciation from the Dean of Communication Sciences Faculty- Prof. Dr. Belkıs Ayhan, at the end of the seminar.
