“Our Movies with Folk Songs” named concert was held with intense participation

Nicosia Municipality Orchestra Folk Songs Choir performed “Our Movies with Folk Songs” named concert which was held at the EUL Faculty of Law Conference Hall with the cooperation of European University of Lefke (EUL) and Nicosia Municipality.

Members and Chairperson of the EUL’s Board of Trustees, Rector of EUL Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, Mayor of Nicosia Mehmet Harmancı, vice rectors, academic and administrative staff and many students and guests attended the concert.

Performed songs got credit from the audience

Songs including “Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım”, “Yeşil İpek Bükeyim”, “Sen Bir Aysın”, “İşte Gidiyorum Çeşm-i Siyahım”, “Bağa Girdim Bağ Budanmış”, “Bu Tepe Pullu Tepe”, “Dol Karabakır”, “Entarisi Dım Dım Yar”, “Awara”, “Yaradana Kurban”, “Çiçekler Ekiliyor”, “Hele Yar Yar”, “Fırat”, “Bugün Ayın Işığı” “Hasretinle Yandı Gönlüm”, “İnsan Olmaya Geldim” were performed during the concert whose choir master was Hasibe Aksaç and guest soloist Arkın Sayar.  Songs sung by Şükran Topaloğlu, Hülya Altuntaş, Fatma Elmas, Hüseyin Günerhan, Burcu Kasapoğlu, Mustafa Dülger, Filiz Yarıcı Atış, Nasuh Eken, Serap Sayar got credit from the audience.

At the end of the program, Chairperson of the EUL’s Board of Trustees Kamil Gilanlığlu presented a plaque to the Mayor of Nicosia Mehmet Harmancı and Member of EUL’s Board of Trustees Feral Uyumsal Burhan presented a bouquet to the Choir Master of the Nicosia Municipality Orchestra Folk Songs Choir Hasibe Aksaç.
