The “Clinical Nutrition Education Symposium” hosted by EUL
The “Clinical Nutrition Education Symposium” was held in Nicosia Merit Hotel, hosted by European University of Lefke (EUL), under the cooperation of The Association of Clinical Enteral Parenteral Nutrition (KEPAN), Turkish Dietitians Association (TDD), Turkish Cypriot Dietitians Union (KTDB) and Turkish Cypriot Nurses Midwifery Syndicate (KTHS),
The aim of the symposium was to discuss the current information on “Clinical Nutrition” together by physicians, dietitians and nurses and to share current information, stressed the Director of EUL Higher School of Health, Prof. Dr. Deniz Şelimen, and also emphasized that a correct and reliable plan should be made for the patients who are not able to undertake nutritional needs through natural routes and that the most important factor for the success of clinical nutrition practice is a good team work; thus it is important for the doctor, dietitian and nurse to work in complete co-operation.
Clinical nutrition was discussed through various perceptions
The symposium which was co-presidented by Prof. Dr. Deniz Şelimen (The Director of EUL Higher School of Health;), Prof Dr. Nevin Aktaş (The Head of EUL Nutrition and Dietetic Department) and Prof. Dr. Sadık Kılınçturgay (KEPAN), was attended by total of 19 speakers; 11 from Turkey and 8 from TRNC. , Prof. Dr. Ruhi Selçuk Tabak (The Dean of EUL Faculty of Health Sciences), Dr. Hasan Sav (Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders Expert TRNC), Prof. Dr. Sevinç Yücacan (NEU), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çoker (Ege University) have attended to the symposium which was highly participated by the students of Nutrition and Dietetic Department and Nursing Department, as the session chairperson.
