Students of European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling organized a campaign and visited Nicosia Animal Shelter with their projects titled “My Human Friend” under the framework of the Community Services course.

Students distributed pamphlets about animal rights within the scope of the project

EUL students working on the project run by EUL Academician Naziyet Mercan Bozok prepared brochures about animal rights, distributed brochures, made food containers, established a stand, raised donations by creating environmental awareness, carried out many activities for sheltering, feeding and increasing living standards of animals within the scope of the project, which was completed in 5 weeks. In addition, a campaign was made to fill the food containers left by the students around the university for our animal friends.

The members of the “My Human Friend” project received a certificate of appreciation from Municipality of Nicosia

At the end of the campaign, donations were collected by volunteer animal lover students and food for animals was donated to the Animal Shelter of the Municipality of Nicosia.

Municipality of Nicosia presented a certificate of appreciation to the members of the “My Human Friend” project for their contribution to our friends in shelter and to strays.
