Students of EUL emphasized Global Warming with their Projects
4th year students of European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling conducted an awareness project called “Awareness of Global Warming” at Lefke İstiklal Primary School under the framework of their Community Service Practices course. The project was conducted by EUL’s Academician Naziyet Mercan Bozok.
Awareness was raised against Global Warming
In the project, awareness of the negative effects of global warming on nature and all living things was created, and awareness was raised against the need to act together against global warming.
Bozok : It is important to raise awareness of young people about global warming
Bozok said that “In the project carried out, it is aimed to raise awareness of individuals about global warming from a young age and inform young people to prevent the negative effects of global warming in our environment” and pointed out that it is necessary to leave a livable world to future generations and all living creatures by producing solutions to problems such as climate change, depletion of fresh water resources, temperature increase, which are the negative consequences of global warming.
Students of Lefke İstiklal Primary School were informed about Global Warming by the students of EUL
The students who conducted the project stated that their projects were very productive in terms of training aware individuals who are sensitive to reduce and eliminate the negative effects of global warming on society and humanity and said that they have had reached their goals. They went on to say that the students of the Lefke İstiklal Primary School have a prior knowledge of global warming, and added that they believe that primary school students are willing to learn more and that they will be aware of their responsibilities by transferring what they have learned about global warming to their lives.
EUL students responsible for the project hung posters by making presentations and distributing materials related to global warming.
