“Step by Step Lefke Tour and Walnuts in Syrup Tasting” event was organized by EUL Gastronomy Club
A “Step by Step Lefke Tour and Walnuts in Syrup Tasting” event was organized by the Gastronomy Club affiliated to the European University of Lefke (EUL) Social and Cultural Activities Center.
The Lefke tour part of the event, which was carried out by the Gastronomy Club and in which different departments participated, was made by the Turzim Guide Hasan Karlıtaş, one of the important names of the region’s tourism. In the event, walnuts in syrup and other local paste types made in the region were offered to the students at the Lefke Environment Association building.
The Lefke Tour started with the Valley Walk and continued with the Acendu fountain. Then, Lefke’s mansions, aqueducts, church, wall works, bazaar center and many historical buildings were examined. The gastronomy club held the event with the aim of protecting cultural values and promoting the beauties of the region. EUL students had a fun time by getting the opportunity to see the historical and natural beauties of Lefke.
