Under the framework of “EUL Spring Interviews” organized by the European University of Lefke (EUL) Sports Commentator and Former National Team Player Tümer Metin came together with the students.

Metin: Coming together with a dynamic audience like you is something we can’t find 

Metin said that “Being desired and coming together with a dynamic audience like you is something we can’t find. That’s why I am here willingly”.

Metin: Successful people are dedicated to their work without exception.

Metin said that in the selection of the football team, one hundred people refer to a substructure and only one person is chosen among these hundred people and added that “Football is magical my friends. When this ball is around me, I can’t stand in my place. It has a magic in itself”. Pointing out that he was touched by a speech held at an award ceremony Metin said that “In that speech the following statements were given; football is so beautiful that, the ball has such a magic that it doesn’t just bring the continents, clubs and people together. Think of two Brazilians. They were both born in Brazil. One of them is the coach of the Brazilian national team, the other is someone who served Turkish national team in Turkey for years. Both of them receive praise and they are both Brazilian and meet in Istanbul thanks to this ball”.

By the end of the interview, Metin pointed out that he had enjoyed the interview, and had his photo taken with the students. At the end of the interview, Mehmet Yalçın, The General Secretary of EUL presented Metin a plaque which represents the culture of Cyprus.
