Short Story Competition was organised at EUL
“Short Story Competition” was organised by the European University of Lefke (EUL) School of Nursing. The Short Story Competition, where the award ceremony was held at the EUL Law Faculty Conference Hall, was held with the theme “My Nursing Care Experience”.
Under the responsibility of Faculty Member Asst. Prof. Dr. Mine Bahçeci, she gave information about the purpose of the competition and stated the following; Our aim in carrying out this event was to raise awareness of satisfied care experiences by bringing up the stories of students who have experienced the care provided by nurses today and have been satisfied with this care. In addition, we would like to support the participation of students from different departments and create an event that covers the whole of our university.
Nursing, Pharmacy and Law Faculty students have participated in the competition. The stories participating in the short story competition were evaluated by the jury consisting of Cyprus Turkish Writers’ Union Association Board Members Prof. Dr. Şevket Öznur, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Gökbulut, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yeniasır, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Akalın, Eralp Adanır, Altay Burağan.
Among the students who ranked in the competition, Rukeme Egbelughe, a 3rd year student of the Department of Nursing, ranked first, Lilian Mutindi Ndambuki, a 2nd year student of the Department of Nursing, ranked second, and Chinedu Okezie, a 1st year student of the Department of Pharmacy, ranked third.
In addition to the participants, Prof. Dr. Şevket Öznur and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Akalın, who were members of the jury, attended the ceremony and plaques and other awards were presented to the ranking students.
