A commemoration program was organized on the anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide by the International Students Club of the European University of Lefke (EUL) Social and Cultural Activities Center and the Rwandan Students Community.

Rwandan students, who also attended the “Rwanda TUTSI Genocide Commemoration Ceremony” from other universities in the TRNC, came together under the hosting of EUL.

The commemoration program held at the EUL Rauf Raif Denktaş Education Complex Conference Hall started with a moment of silence, the National Anthem and the singing of the Rwanda National Anthem. In the commemoration program, a video about the genocide was shown and the students shared their thoughts on the genocide, read poems and made good wishes for the future.

The Rwandan guests also thanked the EUL Rwanda Student Community for their hosting.
