Professional oath ceremony organised for EUL Faculty of Health Sciences graduates
The European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Health Sciences held a White Coat Wearing and Oath Taking Ceremony for the graduates of the 2023–2024 academic year. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Serin, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Serpil Ünyayar, faculty members, students, and their parents attended the ceremony organised by the Faculty of Health Sciences. The ceremony started with a moment of silence, the National Anthem, and the opening speech.
‘The white coat is a symbol of purity, professionalism, and clinical knowledge. The importance of today marks the transition of your learning from textbooks to practise, and that you will begin to learn from the stories and experiences of your patients. The oath requires you to promise to uphold ethical standards as a health professional. It is a great honour, privilege and responsibility to take and implement this oath”. Ünyayar congratulated the graduates by saying “I am happy and honoured to be here with you as you begin this tremendous journey”.
After the opening speech of the dean, the ceremony ended with the students being dressed in white coats by the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Serin, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Serpil Ünyayar and lecturers, and each department took their oaths in the presence of the students Zhanna Abdrakhmanova, Duygu Gündoğar, Duygu Gündoğar, Yaren Yıldırım, Merve Sultan Yıldız and Havva Nur Ecevit.
