A panel on “Addiction” was organised in cooperation with the European University of Lefke, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology and the Cyprus Turkish Green Crescent Association.

Within the scope of the event, Clinical Psychologist Hatice Ünsaç and Expert Psychologist Merih Göçmen from the Cyprus Turkish Green Crescent Association made a presentation on the subject.

Firstly, Clinical Psychologist Hatice Ünsaç made a comprehensive presentation on what addiction is, its types, causes, negative effects and how it can be treated.

Expert Psychologist Merih Göçmen made a detailed presentation on alcohol addiction in particular. The speakers also provided information about the Green Crescent Counselling Centre (YEDAM), which provides free services to combat addiction.

The event was completed after the questions from the audience were answered.
