“International Pharmacy Students Symposium” was organised at EUL
European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Pharmacy organised the “International Pharmacy Students Symposium”.
Prof. Dr. Oğuz Serin, Vice Rector of the European University of Lefke and Prof. Dr. Şermin Tetik, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Deans, Vice Deans, faculty members and many students from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus universities attended the symposium.
The symposium, where Faculty Dean Tetik made the opening speech, took place in 4 sessions. In the oral presentations, European University of Lefke, Near East University, International Final University and Cyprus International University Faculty of Pharmacy undergraduate and graduate students shared their project studies in the fields of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology with the participants. Poster presentations were evaluated by the participating faculty members.
After the completion of the sessions, the top three oral presentations and poster presentations were determined by the award committees and the award certificates were given to the ranking students. In the oral presentations, the study titled “Infection” presented by Joy Chigushime Smith, a 2nd year student of International Final University, and in the poster, the perfume study produced by Ellineah Tariro Masiiwa, a student of European University of Lefke Faculty of Pharmacy, from various plant extracts were awarded the first prize.
