According to the 2020 ÖSYM Placement Results, EUL, where 1855 students were placed, was once again the second university in the TRNC with the highest number of students, and it was proud to reach the highest quota occupancy rate among the universities in TRNC.

Rector of the European University of Lefke Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen evaluated the success of EUL, and according to the results of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in 2020, the number of students settled in EUL is 1855, the number of last year being 1621 and the global epidemic conditions we are in, he emphasized that it can be easily said that he achieved a success. Yükselen said, “When the quota occupancy rates are examined, with a quota occupancy rate of 77.75%, EUL has reached the highest occupancy rate among the universities in our country” and thanked all EUL employees who contributed to this great success.
Yükselen: Among the students who prefer TRNC universities, the percentage of those who have settled in EUL has increased steadily every year.
Stating that the number of students who preferred EUL increased by 234 compared to last year, Yükselen stated that according to the placement results of 2020, when the distribution of students who have been placed in TRNC universities by universities is examined, they are happy to see clearly that the share of EUL students has increased significantly. . Yükselen said, “Last year, 20.16% of the total number of students settled in TRNC Universities were settled in EUL, and this year, despite the increasing number of universities in our country, the rate of students settling in EUL reached 21.48% and this result is extremely proud for our university and our district.” said. Yükselen continued his words as follows: “According to the results of ÖSYM Placement in 2013, while 12.56% of the students who have been placed in TRNC universities prefer EUL, the percentage of students who have been placed in EUL steadily every year in the last 7 years has increased and this rate is 21.48% in 2020. has reached. During this period, despite the fact that there are many newly opened universities in our country, the percentage share of the students settling in EUL among the total students is increasing regularly every year, is one of the greatest achievements of our university.
Yükselen: The strategies implemented in a planned and programmatic manner in recent years have brought this success.
Expressing that the results obtained are not surprising for them, although they are proud, Yükselen said that the university’s developing infrastructure, strengthened academic staff, student satisfaction-oriented studies, effective promotional strategies, the price policy it has implemented and the accreditations that are registered by international independent institutions He emphasized that the successes brought about this result.
