“Gambia Independence Day” organized by European University of Lefke (EUL) Directorate of External Relations and International Student Club has been conducted with several facilities under the framework of 2017-2018 Spring Term Orientation Week.

Staff of EUL Student’s Dean Office and Directorate of External Relations and students attended to the organization which took place at EUL Cinema Hall. The organization started with the national anthem of Gambia and the speeches indication the importance of the day. There was also a video display which was about the foundation and cultural and natural features of Gambia.

“They celebrated their National Day with enthusiasm”

The second part of the program continued at the EUL Fun Club with the traditional dance shows of the students accompanied with the songs sung by the students. Food and beverages unique to Gambia were distributed to the ones who attended the organization. At the end of the organization, students cut a cake which had a Gambian Flag on it and celebrated their National Day with enthusiasm.
