EUL’s Academician Tabak gave information on Midwifery Training in the Congress he attended
Prof. Dr. Ruhi Selçuk Tabak, Academician of European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Health Sciences attended the 1st International Midwifery Training Research and Development Congress organized with the cooperation of Ege University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Midwifery and the Midwifery Training Research and Development Association (EBEARGE) in İzmir and represented EUL.
Tabak: The Social-Cognitive Learning Model is the ideal model for mentoring applications in midwifery trainings.
In his presentation titled “Key Learning Theories in Midwifery Training” Tabak emphasized the necessity of grounding on the concepts of correct knowledge, right attitude, right skill, correct behavior consistency in clinical and basic education of health professinals to a theoretical background in order to actualize these concepts. Tabak also underlined that the Social-Cognitive Learning Model is the ideal model for mentoring applications in midwifery trainings and added that this training which is the art of formalization in essence should be enriched with the philosophical and theoretical approached.
