EUL Students are helping the elderly individuals living in Lefke
Students of European University of Lefke (EUL) Departments of Elder Care, Home Care Service and Disabled Care and Rehabilitation help the elderly to meet their needs by regularly visiting them in order to contribute to the healthy and efficient integration of the elderly in the Lefke region under the supervision of their educators.

Giving information about the example behaviour of the students Director of Vocational School of Health Sciences Assist. Prof. Dr. Besim Özyel stated that aging is a universal reality whose importance is increasing day by day for all countries of the world and added that with the rapid increase in the elderly population, the loneliness, disability, chronic diseases, the need for care and support brought about by long life revealed the importance of old-age services. Özyel emphasized that the importance of healthy and successful aging, increasing the quality of life of the elderly, integration with the society and living in harmony with the society are on the agenda.

Pointing out that aging is a natural process, Özyel said that “In this period, the need to deal with psychological and social adjustment problems as well as the physical problems of people have increased. In this context, our students visit our elderly people in Lefke region regularly under the supervision of their educators”.
