European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Pharmacy held a professional oath ceremony for the graduates of the Department of Pharmacy for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Carolina Smochina, faculty members and student parents attended the swearing-in ceremony where the graduates took their first steps into the profession.

The Oath Ceremony started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Rümeysa Demirdamar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, after the minute of silence and the National Anthem.

In her speech, Prof. Demirdamar stated that pharmacy is one of the three most respected professions in the world together with medicine and nursing, and that pharmacy is an art, and emphasised that medicine is an indispensable health process that cannot be without, strategic, demand inflexible, non-substitutable and indispensable, and that the pharmacist is the quality assurance in medicine and treatment, and congratulated the graduates and wished them success.

After Ange Sandrine Mwamikazi and Berke Ali Semerci made their speeches on behalf of the graduates, the graduates stepped into the profession with the oath taken since Hippocrates.
