EUL II. Department of Psychology Cinema Days was held
Three different films related to the field of psychology were screened within the scope of “Department of Psychology Cinema Days-II” organised by the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, European University of Lefke.

After each film, discussion sessions were held led by academics from the psychology department who are experts on the subject. Thus, it was aimed for psychology students and interested students from other departments to gain an in-depth perspective on the psychological phenomena discussed in the films.
As part of the event, firstly, the animated film “Brave”, which is about the process of a young princess discovering her identity by going against social stereotypes, was screened and discussed under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Cemaliye Direktör.
Secondly, the animated film “Up” was screened and discussed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Doğa Eroğlu Şah. In the film, the processes of old age and childhood are examined through the relationship between an old man and a young child who hijacks his house with balloons to prevent the demolition of his house.
Finally, the film “Cake”, which depicts a group therapy process, was screened and the film was led to be discussed by lecturer Beliz Köroğlu.
