EUL has been the 2nd University in the TRNC receiving the highest number of students for 5 years in a row
European University of Lefke (EUL) has been the second university receiving the highest number of students among the TRNC universities every year since 2017. According to the 2021 Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), EUL has yet again achieved a great success in the placement results. EUL which placed 1512 students according to the 2021 ÖSYM Placement Results, has consistently achieved the success of being the second university receiving the highest number of students in TRNC for 5 consecutive years.
Yükselen: Honored to be the 2ND university with the highest number of students for 5 consecutive years
The Rector of European University of Lefke Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen stated that the number of students who preferred EUL was 1512 according to the 2021 placement results. Yükselen went on to say that: “it is proud to be the second university with the highest number of students ranked in the TRNC for 5 years in a row. It is important that success is continuous and development is sustainable. I congratulate all our colleagues who contributed to this stable success.”
Yükselen expressed that when examining the distribution of students placed in the TRNC universities, the share of those students who settled in EUL, has increased steadily. He continued his words by stating that: “although the number of universities in our country has increased in recent years, the steady increase in the share of students placed in EUL is one of the greatest achievements of our university. According to the 2021 placement results, one out of every 5 student placed in the TRNC will study in Lefke. This result is pleasing both for our region and for the EUL family”.
Yükselen: The success achieved despite the negativities of the global epidemic is important
In his evaluation of EUL’s 2021 ÖSYM Placement results, Yükselen pointed out that the success of EUL is important considering the negativities caused by the global epidemic conditions we are currently in. He also said that, “when the quota occupancy rates are examined, EUL has achieved the highest occupancy rate with a 65.23% quota occupancy rate”. He went onto emphasize that the European University of Lefke’s advanced infrastructure and qualified academic staff, effective promotion strategies and price and scholarship policies have resulted in this successful result. Expressing that the sustainability of the rise of European University of Lefke is very important, Yükselen expressed his belief that the success achieved with the right strategies will continue in a stable manner.
At the end of his speech, Yükselen stated that the development of EUL is very essential for Lefke and its region. He believes that this result will be a happy development for the people of the region who are going through an economically troubled period emerged under the current pandemic conditions.
