EUL Awarded First Prize at CezeriFest
European University of Lefke (EUL) was awarded the first prize at CezeriFest, organized for the first time by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) under the theme “Design for Education.”
Dr. Ahmet Yaşlı, Assistant Professor and Head of the Cezeri Laboratory at the European University of Lefke (EUL), stated that CezeriFest was held in Ankara from December 9 to 12, with participants from Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tanzania, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and Ukraine. He explained that 54 projects were presented during the festival, which featured a 3D Design and 3D Printing Competition. Yaşlı noted that the participants developed projects aimed at contributing to education using 3D printers. The projects were evaluated by a panel of five jury members, and the first prize was awarded to the “Team Techno EUL,” represented by himself and Assistant Professor Dr. Cem Kalyoncu from EUL.
Dr. Ahmet Yaşlı emphasized that the EUL team designed simple machine experiment setups using 3D printers to contribute to education at the primary, middle, and high school levels. He expressed pride in representing the European University of Lefke (EUL) in the best possible way during the competition.
At the end of his remarks, Dr. Ahmet Yaşlı expressed his gratitude to TİKA Nicosia Coordinator Havva Pınar Özcan Küçükçavuş for her significant contributions to the establishment of the Cezeri Laboratory at the European University of Lefke (EUL).
