EUL Architectural Project will be evaluated in Lebanon Tripoli Architectural Project Competition
EUL Department of Architecture participated in the competition with the project of 60000 square meters
Chairperson of the European University of Lefke Department of Architecture Assit. Prof. Dr. Erçim Uluğ and Academician of the Department Azmi Öge represented EUL with their project at the International Architectural Project Competition titled “Information and Innovation Centre” organized by International Union of Architects (UIA) and Union of Mediterranean Architects (UMAR) in Tripoli, Lebanon.
The competition was held at an international level with the participation of 110 different projects
The competition took place at the International Rashid Karami Fairground, designed by famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in the 1960s in Lebanon in Tripoli. In the competition which took place at the international level with the participation of 110 different projects from countries in five different continents, Asst. Prof. Dr. Erçim Uluğ and Azmi Öge successfully delivered the 60000 square meter project they prepared together with the team of EUL Architecture students.
Projects will be evaluated by renowned architect jury members selected internationally
The project competition which took place in the fairground of Rashid Karami, which is a candidate for World Heritage, was held with great interest and participation by Architects from all over the world. The Projects were taken into evaluation by renowned architect jury members selected internationally. The project, which will be carried out by the Lebanese Federation of Engineers and Architects on behalf of the Lebanese State, aims to create a platform that will bring together many investors in the field of trade and technology in Tripoli, Lebanon.
