European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty members Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Ademgil, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Derviş Kırıkkale and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet Biricik succeeded to be included in the list of the most influential scientists in 2021.

The updated version of the “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list which was prepared in collaboration with the United States (USA) Stanford University and Elsevier B.V., one of the most prestigious publishing houses in the world, has been published. It was reported that the data in the lists were based on the analysis of information such as Citation, H-Index, HM-Index and Composite Indicator score (c-score) in the Scopus database. As a result of the study, which was carried out by examining the scientific studies of approximately 7 million researchers who carried out studies in different sub-disciplines and had at least 5 articles published between 1996-2021, the scientists who fell into the 2% slice were included in the “World Top 2% Scientists” list.

In the list of the most influential scientists of 2021, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Head of Banking and Finance Department Assoc.Prof. Dr. Derviş Kırıkkaleli managed to enter the top 50 thousand in the field of Economics and Environmental Sciences. Kırıkkaleli took place in the top 200 in Turkey as well. EUL Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Huseyin Ademgil and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet Biricik, lecturer in the field of Optical Fiber Technology and Telecommunication networks, achieved a great success by being among the Most Influential Scientists in the world by entering the 2% of the fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Energy.
