EUL Academician Meriç has discussed the subject of “Functional Electrical Stimulation” at the congress he attended
European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Aydın Meriç attended the 1st Eskişehir Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Congress with the main theme of “Innovative Approaches in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation”.
Meriç, who attended the 1st Eskişehir Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Congress organised by the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, as an invited speaker, represented EUL with his participation.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Aydın Meriç, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, who also attended the Scientific Committee of the congress, gave a speech on “Functional Electrical Stimulation” in the panel titled “Improving Motor Function.”
In his speech, Meriç drew attention to the difference between functional electrical stimulation (FES) and normal electrical stimulation applications and conveyed detailed information on patient selection criteria for FES application, conditions that prevent application, application methods and parameters, and recent technological developments.
