Cyprus Jams introduced at Azerbaijan

European University of Lefke Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management Department of Gastronomy Lecturer Zihni Türksel represented Northern Cyprus in the best way with the success he gained at the jam and dessert festival organized this year in Gabala, Azerbaijan.

With 22 international and 55 regional competitors participating in the festival, Türksel won the gold medal and first prize cup in the competition.

While giving information about the festival, Türksel stated that it is a contest made on desserts every year and that he attained the second place by participating in the competition with ekmek kadayıfı dessert (crumpets in thick syrup) last year. Türksel stated that this year he participated in the competition with citrus paste, hawthorn paste, bitter almond paste and orange jam. He also expressed that the Turkish Cypriot tastes attracted great attention in Azerbaijan and that the products they prepared were very appreciated among many jams and desserts.
