European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education, Department of English Language Teaching, organised ‘Creative ELT Materials Exhibition’. Head of the Department of English Language Teaching Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Ersel, who made a speech at the opening of the exhibition, emphasised that developing and using materials in foreign language learning and teaching makes learning more permanent and enjoyable and motivates students. She stated that they offer prospective teachers the opportunity to develop their creativity within the department while at the same time transforming the theoretical knowledge they have acquired into practice. The exhibition was prepared by the 3rd year students of the Department of English Language Teaching under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatma Özüorçun and Lecturer Naziyet Mercan Bozok within the scope of the ‘Material Development in Teaching English’ as well as ‘Teaching English to Children’ courses given by the valuable and experienced lecturers of the Department of English Language Teaching, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Ersel thanked the lecturers and students for their efforts.

Afterwards, in the speeches of the students of the department explaining the scope of the exhibition and the concepts of the materials prepared, the participants were given comprehensive information about the use of puppets, storybooks prepared by supporting visual figures, posters, flashcards and many other visual materials. In the exhibition, the stands where the materials created for individuals who need special education were exhibited were opened to visitors and all participants were thanked.
