Academic Cooperation Protocol Signed Between European University of Lefke and Rauf Denktaş University

A protocol was signed between European University of Lefke and Rauf Denktaş University to ensure the academic cooperation.

At the ceremony held at the European University of Lefke, EUL Chairman of the Board of Trustees Teksen Köroğlu, EUL Rector Prof.Dr. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, and Rector of Rauf Denktaş University Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak were present.

The Protocol which was signed by, EUL Rector Prof.Dr. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen and Rector of Rauf Denktaş University Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak includes carrying out joint projects in all fields of science, culture and art, and conducting joint scientific research and publications, exchanging students and faculty members at all levels, organizing joint scientific and technical trips, sporting activities and scientific meetings, and doing promotional activities.

In addition, within the scope of the protocol, joint studies on the development and harmonization of education and training in the faculties, institutes and colleges of both universities and making them compatible with international standards, scientific researches, projects and scientific publications on common subjects in all education and training areas were planned.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, EUL Rector Prof.Dr. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen stated that the cooperation of the universities with their stakeholders in the sector is very important as well as the education mission of the universities and said that the protocol will make important contributions for both institutions. Yükselen went on to say that “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed individually and wish it to be beneficial for the two universities”.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak; The protocol aimed to draw on the experience and knowledge of the European University of Lefke.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony and Rector of Rauf Denktaş University Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak said that “The aim of this protocol is to benefit from the experience and knowledge of the European University of Lefke, which is the flagship of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as the newly established Rauf Denktaş University, to establish solid foundations for education, research and service in the formation of RDU, and to share the experiences of EUL with the RDU on accreditations, researches, international recognition and creation of databases. Bıçak said that said that the European University of Lefke, which received the full score of the highest number of parameters among the TRNC Universities by the UK-based international QS institution, obtained this score by its own efforts and added that “I would like to congratulate Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen for his important contribution to this success”.
