“Benevolent” project from EUL students
The “Benevolent” project was implemented by European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Education Faculty English Language Teaching Department at the Nicosia Special Education and Job Training Center within the scope of “Community Service Practices”. European University of Lefke Education Faculty English Language Teaching Department senior students Ece Ertaş, Kaan Mustafa Kapaklı and Hülya Güçlüol carried out their projects under the leadership of Instructor Naziyet Mercan Bozok.
Within the scope of the “Benevolent” project, EUL students collected donations by selling handcrafted toys made by students at the Nicosia Special Education and Job Training Center. Within the scope of the project, many toys such as baskets, frames, napkin holders, ornamental bicycles, plates, clay houses in various sizes were put on sale to collect donations. With the donations collected, new material income was obtained for the students at the Nicosia Special Education and Job Training Center. With this meaningful 6-week project, the students of the European University of Lefke experienced a special joy as they were able to touch the lives of the students at the Nicosia Special Education and Job Training Center by doing a favor.
