The deadline for submission of abstract proposals for the Congress titled
“The Democratic Culture of the Turkish Cypriots and Cyprus Democracy History”to be held in TRNC between the dates of October 15-18, 2014 has been extended by August 2, 2014.
The acceptence/ rejection of proposals will be notified on our web site on August 20, 2014.

Call for Paper
The History Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, European University of Lefke will be pleased of meeting you appriciated researchers and scholars around a subject which has not been taken into hand up to now in TRNC within the second traditional History Congress.
The Organizing Committee calls for your presentation of current researchers on “ The Democratic Culture of the Turkish Cypriots and Cyprus Democracy History” in different periods of turning points such as 1878, 1914, 1924, 1931, 1942, 1950’s, 1960, prior to 1974 and later, 1983 and the periods which extend today.
Individual papers will be organized into thematic sections and quality monitored by the Scientific Committee. Abstracts should not exceed 300words. The desirable duration of a paper presentation is 15 minutes. It must not exceed 15 minutes. In case it becomes necessary to limit the number of papers, the selection will be made by the members of the Scientific Committee.
The participants are requested to send the abstract of the paper by July 1, 2014.In case of accceptance of the paper by the Scientific Committee, the full paper must be sent by September 1 , 2014.
The papers might be presented either in Turkish or in English.
Participants are requested to finance the registration fee for the Congress by 20th August 2014. The participation fee of the Congress is 150 Euros. Round trip fee for TRNC will be financed by the participants.
The services which will include are:
4 nights accomodation at the Teachers’ House in Girne,
Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner fees, tea and coffee offers,
The printed materials of the Congress, Congress bag, collar card, etc.
