Environmental Engineering is an engineering discipline that identifies environmental problems and develops new technologies and methods to prevent and deal with environmental problems. The main areas of interest for environmental engineers can be listed as; drinking and wastewater treatment, solid waste management, air and soil pollution. Environmental engineering is also interested in some of the most important problems of today’s world like; sustainable development and climate change.
The mission of the Department of Environmental Engineering is to provide high-quality education and train environmental engineers who are capable of self-improvement, carrying out research, transferring theoretical knowledge into practice, and working in both public and industry. The environmental engineering undergraduate program is designed to teach students, the principles of environmental sciences and engineering. Our students will receive an education that will develop their creativity, and ability to sustain research, design processes, and develop solutions to the emerging environmental issues of today’s world.
