Faculty of Communication Sciences
The importance of communication is on the rise in our ever increasing globalized world. The current epoch, within the 21st century and rapid technological advancements, has allowed the means for communication practices to come to life through different perspectives.
The Faculty of Communication Sciences strives to cultivate a learning environment for students where they will be able to analyse issues sociologically, culturally, economically and politically. They will be able to effectively utilise available communication technologies which encourage criticality within their respective professions, translating these skills to world matters. Our department offers platforms for creative thinkers to cultivate their craft, to be ethically and socially responsible and to be flexible enough to follow, update and apply the new developments in the industry of journalism, public relations and advertising, radio-television and visual communication.
The faculty offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Visual Communication Design, Public Relations and Advertising, Digital Game Design, New Media and Journalism. Under the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Master’s and Doctorate degree programs in Communication Studies and Communication Sciences respectively . The Faculty of Communication Sciences with its strong curriculum based on theory and practice as well as its reputable academic staff provides communication education at the highest standards. The faculty’s diplomas are recognized all around the world.

Dear Students,
communication Is the most essential factor in people’s lives as it takes place daily and is extremely common. Even the easiest communication act comes to be in multi-layered and complex continuum. Moreover, communication processes plays a more complicated and central role in recent years with mass media and especially internet-based digital media. Internet, social media, television, radio, public relations and advertising became one of the necessary components of our lives. We are aiming to investigate the communication process both at the practical level in terms of its implications in these fields and in theory level regarding its inter-disciplinary qualifications. We welcome students to learn and practice communication sciences, which maintains its importance independent from periodical career trends and employment tendencies. Subsequently, prospective students will find that there are adequate career and academic opportunities following the completion of their graduate studies within the field.
