A seminar titled “Challenges in Special Education Practices at EUL” was organized
The Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education at European University of Lefke (EUL) organized a seminar titled “Challenges in Special Education Practices.” The seminar was attended by Özge Rüstemoğlu, a professional working in the field of special education, Assistant Professor Dr. Gül Kahveci, a faculty member of the Special Education Teaching Department, and 4th-year Special Education students. This event not only addressed current issues in the field but also discussed practical solutions to overcome these challenges.
The seminar provided a platform for an in-depth discussion of the fundamental problems encountered in the field of special education, as well as practical demonstrations of solutions. Throughout the event, participants shared both their theoretical knowledge and field experiences. The session began with visual and verbal presentations by Özge Rüstemoğlu and Dr. Gül Kahveci. These presentations thoroughly addressed issues such as the lack of instructional materials in special education, communication challenges faced by teachers, and obstacles to developing strategies tailored to the individual needs of students.

This event, which brought together a diverse group ranging from teachers and parents to academics and field experts, not only raised awareness but also explored actionable pathways for improving special education practices.
