A workshop on Origami was organized by EUL for the Child Development Department of Cengiz Topel Industrial Vocational High School.
EUL continues to offer innovative learning experiences to students through artistic and creative activities. In this context, an Origami Workshop was organized by the Department of Primary Education Mathematics Teaching at EUL for students of Cengiz Topel Industrial Vocational High School
The Origami Workshop, held with the participation of the Department Chair of Primary Education Mathematics Teaching, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurdan Özreçberoğlu, and students of the department, was conducted at the request of the teachers and students of the Child Development Department of Cengiz Topel Industrial Vocational High School, resulting in a productive session.
Origami is an effective tool in developing children’s fine motor skills.
Özreçberoğlu, providing information about the workshop, stated, “Origami is an effective tool for child development teachers to enhance children’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities. It also helps in fostering children’s creativity while strengthening their patience, focus, and aesthetic perception.” In this context, Özreçberoğlu mentioned that the participants had the opportunity to develop their creativity and experience educational and enjoyable moments during the event. After the workshop, the swan figures were presented as symbolic souvenirs to the teachers and students of the Child Development Department.
