As part of European University of Lefke (EUL) Orientation Days, the School of Nursing welcomed first-year students from both the Turkish and English Nursing Departments with an “Orientation Day” event held on October 16, 2024.

In her opening speech at the event, Prof. Dr. Meral Demiralp stated, “Starting university is a big step, and I congratulate each of you for being here today, ready to embrace new learnings and opportunities.” Demiralp highlighted that university life is not just about grades but also about discovering oneself and one’s abilities, building friendships, and learning from every experience. She concluded her speech by saying, “You will encounter new subjects, clubs, and activities that will shape your university experience. Never hesitate to discover and pursue your passions.”

Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maral Kargın and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sevim Ünal gave presentations in both English and Turkish, introducing the Nursing Department and various university units. Afterwards, the academic and administrative staff of the School of Nursing met with the students.

The event, which concluded with a cocktail reception, saw a large turnout and high participation.
