The Banking Sector was discussed at EUL
The European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Banking and Finance, hosted Creditwest Bank Inspection Board, Inspector Bihter Beyazyüz Çevirgen.
As a guest speaker at the Department of Banking and Finance, she held a presentation titled “What is a Bank? How Does It Work?” in the first part of the presentation, Çevirgen answered the questions “What is a bank”, “what are the functions of banks” and “what are the types of banks”. In the second part of the presentation, Çevirgen introduced Creditwest Bank in detail and then talked about the mission, vision, and strategy of Creditwest Bank. Çevirgen explained that Creditwest Bank consists of three main departments: head office, branches, and internal systems, and provided detailed information to the students about the sector.
The program, in which the students of the European University of Lefke were also informed about the internship program, was met with great interest by the students. Finally, Çevirgen touched upon the profession’s difficulties and answered the students’ questions at the end of the speech.
