EUL Preschool Teacher Education Organised End of Year Exhibition
European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Preschool Teaching held its annual end of year exhibition with a great participation. The products developed by the students in the courses conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azize Ummanel and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ferda Öztürk Kömleksiz were exhibited. Preschool Teaching 2nd year students exhibited the educational toys they developed in Early Childhood Mathematics Education and Early Childhood Play Development and Education courses and the dolls and puppets specific to different regions developed in the Traditional Children’s Games in Early Childhood Education course. 3rd grade students prepared characters from the children’s books they identified in the Children’s Literature course in the form of stuffed toys and prepared puppet scenes and story cards as additional materials. Finally, 4th grade students developed three-dimensional interactive materials within the scope of Creativity in Early Childhood and Creative Children’s Activities course and contributed to the exhibition with their performances.
Preschool Children visited the Exhibition
Preschool institutions from the Lefke region that support our university visited the exhibition. During the interactive exhibition, children played with the materials developed, embarked on new adventures with the children’s books read to them, participated in face painting and art activities. Both the children who visited the exhibition from the regional schools and the students who contributed to the exhibition expressed their satisfaction with this interactive activity.
Head of the Preschool Teaching Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa expressed her satisfaction with the products that support the creativity of the students from the applied courses carried out as a department, while Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Nergüz Bulut Serin stated that the faculty has always carried out activities that make a difference and congratulated the faculty members and students who contributed.
