The exhibition titled “Educators Who Make a Difference 2023” organised by the Classroom Teaching students under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özcan Palavan, Lecturer at the European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education, attracted great attention. In the exhibition “Educators Who Make a Difference 2023”, the educational materials that were developed by the students during the semester were displayed. The exhibition brought together university students, primary school students, teachers, and families and offered the opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of education.

Palavan emphasised the importance of the use of materials in education at this event, where the works of classroom teaching students were exhibited with the great effort they spent during a semester. Palavan reminded that primary school students are in the concrete operations period and stated that the materials will provide students with a more permanent learning experience. Palavan also added that the materials should be suitable for the subjects and acquisitions, appeal to the sensory organs of the students, and transfer and associate the knowledge to daily life have an important role in the permanent learning process.

Classroom Teaching 3rd year students, who prepared the materials in the exhibition, presented the materials that they developed in Science, Life Science and Mathematics Teaching courses in accordance with the programme with the micro-teaching method, which is an effective teaching method. Yedidalga Primary School, Yeşilyurt Primary School, Lefke İstiklal Primary School, and Fikri Karayel Primary School students and teachers examined the products with interest. While the information on how the materials were made, their functions and the objectives they are associated with were presented with posters, the classroom teaching students gave practical information on how to convey the subjects to the students.
