EUL Gastronomy and students of Food and Beverage Services at Güzelyurt Vocational High School met in a collaborative workshop
The students of Güzelyurt Vocational High School Food and Beverage Services attended the kitchen workshop organised in cooperation with the European University of Lefke Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
In the workshop organised by European University of Lefke Specialist Chef Lecturer Selcan Oyal and the students of the department, the 11th grade students, under the leadership of Güzelyurt Vocational High School Teacher Efsun Kanarya, started with a warm seasonal vegetable salad. The students of the 11th grade had the opportunity to practice and taste Warm Seasonal Vegetable Salad and Avocado Goat Cheese Mousse as a starter, Pistachio-Coated Roast Chicken, Potato Mousse, Caramelised Vegetables, Aromatic Jus Sauce, Lemon Cold Cheesecake, and Blueberry Sauce for dessert.
During the working process, teachers and students had the opportunity to chat and exchange information. At the end of the workshop, Lecturer Selcan Oyal stated that they attach great importance to education, especially applied education, and that they can provide all kinds of support to students to gain knowledge and skills. She expressed that she was always proud of being a graduate of vocational high school and that she felt very lucky. She also stated that students can achieve very good positions in this sector and that all they need to do is love and be patient in their profession.
