The community service practices carried out by the European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education continue with exemplary projects.

İpek Aktaş, a senior student of the Department of English Language Teaching, implemented the project “You are not alone” under the supervision of lecturer Naziyet Mercan Bozok within the scope of “Community Service Course”. 

As part of the project organised in cooperation with the Lefke Relief and People’s Association, the EUL student provided clothing and shoes to families in need of assistance in Lefke with the help of the President of the Lefke Relief and People’s Association, Dr. Emel Yılmaz. Aktaş also listened to the families and their needs during the aid and conveyed these needs to the association. Through this 6-week meaningful project, the needs of families in need in Lefke were fulfilled and the brochures created by the EUL student for the call for help were distributed to the people of Lefke and social sensitivity was created. The necessary aid was collected by the people of Lefke for the families in need and delivered to those in need.
