Support from EUL to the Blue Cap Campaign
The Red Crescent Student Club affiliated with the European University of Lefke (EUL) Social and Cultural Activities Centre visited the Cyprus Turkish Orthopaedic Disabled Association and presented the plastic blue caps collected within the scope of the Blue Cap Campaign to Günay Kibrit, the President of the Association.
The Red Crescent Student Club advisor, lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa attended the visit. During the visit, President Kibrit emphasized that he is very happy with the sensitive behaviours and projects of the young people and that the society can progress thanks to conscious and sensitive individuals.
Çağanağa who made a statement about the visit, expressed that the social responsibility projects of EUL student clubs, are designed to appeal to all segments of the society and that the psychological, social and cultural development of the students is at least as important as their academic success. As a result of the consultation with the Cyprus Turkish Orthopaedic Disabled Association, it was decided to carry out different social responsibility projects supporting the association as of the 2023 Spring term.
The members of the Red Crescent Student Club emphasized that the Blue Cap campaign continues and expressed that they will make this campaign permanent and that each blue cap means participating in life for individuals with orthopaedic disabilities. They also thanked all the European University of Lefke family for their support within the scope of the Blue Cover campaign.
