“Nurses Week Student Event” was held at EUL
Within the scope of 12-18 May Nurses Week by the School of Health at the European University of Lefke, under the consultancy of Academician Asst. Prof. Dr. Mine Bahçeci, an awareness event was held in the EUL Plaza area.
At the event, stands for “Introducing the Nursing Profession” and “Consult Your Nurse for Health” were created.
In the event, stands for “Introducing the Nursing Profession” and “Consult Your Nurse for Health” were set up to provide information to students and faculty members from all departments of the university. Awareness was created by introducing the nursing profession to the visitors, then their perceptions of health status were questioned individually and they were asked to analyze the factors affecting their current health. After the visitors determined their hereditary, stress-related, negative habits such as smoking or drinking, information was exchanged on what their preferences for a quality life could be, and recommendations were given for them to take steps to be healthy.
“Guidance was given to the visitors in order to protect and improve their health” Smiling face, colored star, evil eye bead or ladybug stickers were given to visitors who were found to be able to maintain their health and whose vital signs were within the normal reference range, as a congratulatory symbol for their good health. Participants who were affected by negative factors affecting health were given guidance to both protect and improve their health, and yellow star and evil eye bead stickers were given to remind them of the possibility of getting sick. Vital signs of visitors were also measured during the event.
