Yıldız said, “In order to reach this goal, it has been adopted as the main principle to read literary texts selected with scientific competence and make analytical evaluations. It is important that some of the selected texts are about Turkish literature in history, but that most of them are based on contemporary perception and thought ”.

“Today, there are many and versatile studies about the science of literature and its sub-branches mentioned above. There are a lot of studies especially on literary theory and literary criticism. He stated that there is no doubt that new roads have been opened. He stated that each of these opened new horizons, brought diversity of interpretation, more fine relations were established between theory-philosophy, criticism-theory, and thus new ways were opened in the classification of both theory and criticism.
Stating that, thanks to the possibilities brought by modern communication technologies, important developments have been observed in literary history studies, Yıldız continued his words as follows; “Although history examines events that have passed, cultural history is based on the continuing cultural movements – in the context of the continuity of culture despite its change. For this reason, as it is literally nourished by the world of culture – any study of literature should be based on this continuity. For this, it is necessary to make additions to the literary education very new, in accordance with the richness and diversity of the age. We say add because it is neither possible nor necessary to fundamentally change the understanding of literature, which is very connected with historical culture.
