A Meaningful Contribution from EUL
Students gathered Blue Bottle Caps and supported the Wheel Chair need
Students of European University of Lefke (EUL) gathered blue bottle caps and donated to the Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disability Association within the scope of Community Service course.
EUL students supported the campaign which was initiated to meet the wheelchair needs of disabled citizens with blue caps delivered to Association President Günay Kibrit.
Çağanağa “We will continue to set an example with each project”
In her speech, Chairperson of the Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Pre-School Teaching Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa who attended the visit pointed out that in accordance with the decision taken together with the students, they’ve conducted such activity to show sensitivity to social problems and added that many people who heard about the blue cap gathering campaign had supported the students for three months.
Pointing out that they will try to support the association with different projects in the new period in order to raise awareness and contribute to the quality of life of people with disabilities, Çağanağa said that the European University of Lefke has a sense of social responsibility that encompasses not only the region but also all the regions and added that the students will continue to set an example with each project.
Kibrit “We would like to thank EUL for their sensitive acts”
The Head of the Association Günay Kibrit said that they will welcome the support of the European University of Lefke in the following years and thank European University of Lefke for their sensitive acts and presented a certificate of appreciation to Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa.
