EUL students draw attention with meaningful social responsibility projects
Giving a Magic Touch to the Worlds of the Children was aimed
Students of Pre-School Teaching Club affiliated to the European University of Lefke (EUL) Social and Cultural Activities paid a visit to the Society for the Protection of Children located in Nicosia.
Under the framework of the visit which was conducted with “Happy Kids, Happy Future”, creative drama and music activities were organized for the children in the Child Protection Institution by the students who were taking Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Social Services Course and students were played with the traditional Turkish Cypriot children’s games. In the event where the children were presented with several gifts, it was aimed to give a magic touch to the knowledge and fun worlds of the children.
Advisor of the Pre-School Teaching Club Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa said that one of the most important aims of the event was to develop the academic aspects as well as training students as individuals who have adopted social responsibility.
Çağanağa also stated that it is important to develop students’ awareness of social responsibility, to be together with different segments of the society before the service and to find solutions to the identified problems as much as practicing their professions.
