Famous Turkish Cypriot Poet Fikret Demirağ memorialized at EUL for the second time
Famous Turkish Cypriot Poet Fikret Demirağ memorialized at the European University of Lefke (EUL) for the second time under the framework work of 2nd International Fikret Demirağ Poem Festival.
The program took place in EUL and consisted of two parts.
In the first part of the program which took place at the Conference Hall of EUL Faculty of Law on 30th November 2018, a panel themed “Poem and Mythology” and a poetry recital were conducted. Müesser Yeniay, Maria Do Sameiro Barroso and Emel Kaya attended the panel which was moderated by Emel Kaya as speakers.
“Poems of Fikret Demirağ” themed panel was held in the second part of the program. Müesser Yeniay, Maria Do Sameiro Barroso and Emel Kaya attended the panel which was moderated by Jenan Selçuk as speakers. After the panel the poems of Fikret Demiağ whose name is among the assets grew up in Lefke and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, were read and an interview and signature event with the poems was conducted.
After the program, a reception was held at the EUL Social Center’s Lounge in honor of the guests attending the event from Turkey and abroad. During the evening, guests were presented with the poetry books of Turkish Cypriot Poet and Writer Fikret Demirağ which was published by the European University of Lefke Publishing.
