EUL Students won the First Place in Clinical Ability Stage
EUL participated in the 1st T.R.N.C Ambulance Rally and Emergency Health Services Symposium
European University of Lefke (EUL) Vocational School of Health Sciences First and Emergency Aid Crew participated in the 1st T.R.N.C Ambulance Rally and Emergency Health Services which was held at EMU and gained accomplishments. Twelve crews from six universities participated in the symposium. Ambulance Rally had six stages and was composed of scenarios in which the crews competed with their knowledge and abilities.
EUL Vocational School of Health Sciences First and Emergency Aid Crews gained accomplishments in all stages and won the first place in clinical abilities stage, and the third place in general classification. EUL First and Emergency Aid Crew also got the chance to participate in the interscholastic competition that will take place in İstanbul.
Scenarios in which the crews competed with their knowledge and abilities:
1st stage, Knowledge Stage: Crews knowledge was tested with 10 questions.
2nd stage, Basic Life Support (BLS): The teams were assessed for their abilities to conduct practices in the cases of heart failure.
3rd stage, Approaches to the Medical Patient: The approaches and applications of the crews to medical cases were evaluated.
4th stage, Transport Stage: The crews were evaluated in terms of the transport of the patient / injured within a certain time and distance with the appropriate transport techniques.
5th stage, Trauma Stage: The crews were evaluated in terms of the approach and application skills they possessed in the cases of multiple traumatized injured patients who fell from high altitude.
6th stage, Clinical Abilities Stage: The crews were evaluated for their approaches to the patients and their abilities and skills in the cases of traffic accidents.
