87% of students enrolled at EUL
According to the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) placement results, 87% of the 2535 students who settled at the European University of Lefke (EUL), the 2nd most preferred university in Northern Cyprus, have registered.
2024 EUL Chairman of the Board of Trustees Enver Öztürk, who evaluated the very high rate of enrolment of YKS student preferences, primarily stated that the students who settled at EUL have increased steadily over the years and this increase is pleasing for both the university and the Lefke region. Öztürk pointed out that the stable and sustainable structure of the European University of Lefke, whose founding mission includes the development of Lefke and its region, contributes to the increase in investments in the region and the development of the region day by day, and stated that the achievements of EUL in recent years have been appreciated.
Öztürk stated as follows: ‘According to the YKS placement results, 2535 students preferred EUL this year and we are proud to be the 2nd most preferred university in Northern Cyprus.’ Öztürk also expressed that a significant success was achieved in terms of converting the preferences of the students who settled at EUL into records. Öztürk explained that 87% of the students who settled in EUL enrolled at the university and this result is pleasing for the university and added, ‘This success is the result of the devoted work of our university administration and our strong academic and administrative staff working in harmony.’
‘It is the common desire of all of us that the success of the European University of Lefke is sustainable and has a bright future. In this context, since the first day we took office as the EUL board of trustees, we have continued our planned and programmed work in cooperation with all stakeholders to move our university even further from its current position with a sense of responsibility.’ Öztürk continued his speech as follows: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the university administration and staff who contributed to this success.”
Öztürk concluded his speech by saying, “Our university is now internationally prestigious, especially with the development it has shown in recent years. We, as the board of trustees, are extremely happy to contribute to the work of our university, which raises its academic quality standard higher every year, and to see the reflections of these studies”.
