59th Anniversary of Independence Day of Nigeria Celebrated at EUL with enthusiasm
“59th Anniversary of Independence Day of Nigeria” was celebrated at the European University of Lefke (EUL) with several activities. The organization which was organized by The Centre of Social and Cultural Activities and International Students Club was held at the EUL Plaza with the intense participation of many students who were mainly Nigerian.
Nigerian Students introduced their traditional dishes to the different cultures.
The event which took place at EUL Plaza proceed with theatrical performances and the cultural shows of the students and the students had the chance to introduce their local dishes. Nigerian students who stated that they are glad that they had the chance to come together on the Independence Day of Nigeria, thanked everyone who contributed to the event and expressed their feelings about Independence Day as follows;
Margaret Esseagboıyı: I am a second year student at the Department of New Media and Journalism. I am happy to have taken part in the event organized within the scope of my country’s independence celebrations. The University’s support for the Independence Day celebrations is very important to us. I am proud to be an EUL student.
Folashade Esther Adedıran: I am very happy and excited to celebrate this special day of my country with great enthusiasm because I represent my country here. I am proud to introduce Nigeria to our friends. We would like to thank our university for giving us the opportunity to celebrate our independence.
Cosmas Chıkamso Ejy-Akwuba: I’m a student of the Department of Horticulture. It’s my first year at EUL. I can say that I have found the program organized within the framework of the “Nigerian Independence Day” comprehensive and I liked it very much.
Toyosı Elızabeth Agbaje: I feel very important and happy to be a part of this wonderful event that allows us to celebrate our country outside our country. I represent Nigeria, my country here, and I would like to thank everyone who supported and contributed to organizing this night.
Damılola Anjolaoluwa Ogunleye: I’m a student in the Department of Nursing. I am happy to take part in such an organization where I had the opportunity to celebrate the independence day of my country. Thanks to the opportunities provided by our university, we had the opportunity to introduce our culture to our friends.
