European University of Lefke (EUL) Office of Students’ Dean and Architecture Club organized a seminar themed “Narration of the Graduates”. EUL graduate Architect Eren Tümer attended the seminar as a speaker.

In the event which was organized with the aim of uniting together the EUL Architecture students with the experienced architects under the framework of “Narration of the Graduates” themed seminar, Architect Eren Tümer who graduated from EUL Faculty of Architecture shared his experiences on seeking for work after graduation, practices of freelance architecture establishing a business.

Tümer: EUL’s contributions on the success of my business life are undeniable

Tumer talked about the necessity of architects and interior architect candidates who would perform architectural profession beyond their undergraduate education, to develop their personal skills in addition to the trainings they receive in the university and touched upon the importance of seeing architecture as a life style rather than a profession.  Based upon experiences of being an employer, Tümer said that “In the process of finding a job, the curiosity, desire and persistence are the things that actually produce results, after the diplomat”. Tümer emphasized that with the education that he received at EUL, he started his professional life without any difficulties and added that in every single project that he made he has created difference with the qualified education he received. Furthermore, Tümer said that EUL’s contributions on the success of his business life are undeniable and wished success for his student colleagues.

Referring to the projects produced in the professional architectural process and the application stages of these projects, Tumer showed examples from various urban designs, architectural designs and competition projects that he has conducted up to now, and touched upon the relationship between the zoning- contractor -client relationship and the development of the project, from the initial stages to the completion of these projects. Afterwards he answered the questions of architecture and interior architecture students related with the profession.

At the end of the seminar Dean of Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Mesut Birol Özdeniz presented a certificate of appreciation to Tümer.
