The Construction Technologies programme prepares students for careers as managers and technicians in the field of construction. The programme’s philosophy is based on producing qualified and skilled graduates who can meet the needs of the constantly developing construction sector.   All facets of the construction process are studied, including construction materials, methods, management and mechanical systems as well as all elements of design.

Students who graduate from this department may work as construction technicians in building projects for dams, roads, airports, homes and other structures. They may also find career opportunities in departments or laboratories within public and private institutions dealing with the field of construction.

All students are required to complete a course load of 71 credits including summer training periods in order to qualify for graduation. Graduates will receive an associate degree in construction upon completion of the programme.

Graduates may also choose to continue their academic studies by entering the DGS (vertical transfer) exam held by the Turkish Student Selection and Placement Centre (OSYM). Students who wish to do so may be exempt from some courses which are offered by the undergraduate programmes.
